Sawmill near a large nature preserve, Costa Rica. This sawmill is very near the boundary of the Bosque Eterno de los Ninos, the Children?s Eternal Forest. The reserve was funded by donations from children around the world and is one of the largest private reserves in Latin America. Clearly, a forest can be an excellent source of renewable and valuable resources, as long as it is properly managed and reserved areas are protected.
